Festival of Sant Sebastià
The Feast Day of Saint Sebastian, patron saint of Palma, is celebrated on the 20th of January. The most special night is undoubtedly that of the verbena, on the 19th of January, a very festive night when there are concerts in Palma's main squares and bonfires are lit to roast local gastronomic products. In the city, there are a host of activities for all audiences, such as music, the correfoc (literally fire run, where people dressed as devils roam the streets carrying pitchforks with fireworks attached to them), Cycling Day, cultural events and much more.
