IMEDEA. Col·lecció museogràfica
The Collections Service (SCol) of the Institut Mediterrani d'Estudis Avançats is responsible for cataloguing, conserving and safeguarding the collections of the IMEDEA public research centre. In addition to making the various collections available to the public and researchers, it seeks to support research into the evolution of life on earth and, in this way, contribute to and expand knowledge of the environment.
The SCoI currently has three collections: vertebrates, insects and palaeontology, the latter of which has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) by the Consell Insular de Mallorca.
