Small mountain village located in the south-western part of the Serra de Tramuntana. In addition to the village of Puigpunyent, the municipality also includes the llogarets (small villages) of Galilea, 406 metres above sea level, and Son Serralta.

Nestled in the mountains, Puigpunyent offers numerous routes through the mountain range, especially the walks through Galilea and the trails through the public estate of Galatzó, one of the largest estates in Mallorca, located in the municipality of Calvià and bordering the towns of Puigpunyent, Andratx and Estellencs.

The mountainous landscape, the lush pine and holm oak forests, the terraces of olive trees and the numerous traces of ethnological heritage: charcoal makers' huts, lime kilns, bridle paths, etc., make the routes a journey back in time, the remains of a long-lost culture that has been preserved in these mountain landscapes.

Wine lovers must visit the Bodegas Son Puig, a small family business that produces its wines in the valley of Puigpunyent (visits by appointment).

At the top of a hill, with fantastic views of the village, you will find the Gran Hotel Son Net. This majestic old house has been converted into a luxurious hotel amongst tranquil and beautiful surroundings.
