Arrive aboard a cruise ship?

Many cruise ships stop at Mallorca on their Mediterranean routes. Most of them come to the city of Palma. Some have even established their base port in this city, which allows you to stay on the island for longer, before or after the trip. Also, more and more people are stopping at the beautiful tourist town of Alcúdia as this port can accommodate smaller cruise ships.

PORT OF PALMA 

The port of Palma has different commercial docks and sports marinas. The passenger traffic area is divided into a number of maritime stations where the cruise ships that visit the island dock. You can find information on the arrival and departure of cruise ships at www.portsdebalears.com.

WHAT'S NEARBY?

The city centre is located approximately 4 kilometres from the passenger port. There are several ways to get there:

Bus: Line number 1

Walk/bicycle: 45-minute walk along a beautiful promenade. You can also do this by bike. 

Tourist bus (City Sightseening): The tourist bus has a stop at Maritime Station 2 and allows you to visit the city.

Taxis: there is a taxi rank in front of the Maritime Station. Taxis offer both regular services and custom services.

Rent a car: There is a car hire company in the Maritime Station.

Near the port, you can also find the Porto Pi Shopping Centre. 

There are several sandy beaches within a few kilometres: Cala Major, ses Illetes or Can Pere Antoni. 

PORT OF ALCÚDIA

The port of Alcúdia is located on the north coast of the island of Mallorca in a bay of the same name. It is a very popular holiday resort for Mallorcans and one of the busiest tourist areas. The maritime station is located close to the main promenade that runs along the pier that has bars and restaurants. Nearby, you can find an extensive beach of fine sand. The historic centre of Alcúdia is approximately 3 kilometres away from the port.
