In order to eliminate the barriers preventing people from exercising their right to access information and communication, and following the recommendations of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), this website uses guidelines to improve navigation and access to all the contents of the portal in a clear and simple way.

We work to make all the information and services on the website accessible to all users, regardless of the limitations of each individual.
 


1. HOW DO I CHANGE THE TEXT SIZE?
Depending on the web browser you use, you can adjust the size of the text by increasing or decreasing it to suit your needs. Here's what you need to do if you want to change the text size depending on your browser:

  • Explorer: View > Text Size > Larger
  • Firefox: View > Text Size > Increase
  • Opera: View > Scale > %
  • Safari: View > Make text bigger / Smaller


2. HOW DO I DISABLE THE GRAPHIC STYLES ON THE PAGE?

The mallorca.es portal allows you to view the text-only version of the contents using a logical, hierarchical organisation.

To do so, follow the instructions detailed for each browser:

  • Explorer: Tools > Internet Options > Accessibility
  • Firefox: View > Page Style > No Style
  • Opera: View > Style > Author Mode
  • Safari: Edit > Preferences > Security / Web content


3. HOW CAN I WATCH VIDEOS?
To view web videos, you must have Adobe Flash Player installed. This format uses a free plug-in.

4. HOW CAN I WATCH VIDEOS IN SIGN LANGUAGE?
There is information on the website that is complemented by videos in sign language for people with hearing impairment.
If this service is available, you will see an accompanying video entitled Sign Language Interpretation.

To watch the videos, you need to have Adobe Flash Player installed.

5. HOW CAN I USE THE TEXT READER SERVICE?
The website contents are accompanied by an icon that reads the text and allows you to listen to it.
In order to access this service, look for the "Play" icon next to the text, click on it and the text will automatically start to play.
To use the text reader service, you need to have Adobe Flash Player installed, which is available free of charge.

6. HOW DO I OPEN DOCUMENTS IN PDF FORMAT?
The mallorca.es portal contains a lot of information in PDF format. To view them you need to download the Adobe Acrobat programme wich is available online for free.

 

7. OTHER NAVIGATION AIDS

-Functional images are accompanied by text descriptions.
-All pages work without JavaScript enabled. 
-The layout attributes have been developed using CSS and without tables. This way, if a browser or browsing device does not support style sheets, the content remains readable.
