Il vino

Mallorca has a long history of cultivating vines and producing wine. The island's Mediterranean climate, quality land and varied orography, amongst many other features, are excellent for growing grapes, enabling high-quality wines to be produced.

Mallorca has two designations of origin and three protected geographical indications: DO Binissalem, DO Pla i Llevant, Vi de la Terra Mallorca, Vi de la Terra Illes Balears and Vi de la Terra Serra de Tramuntana - Costa Nord. Mallorca’s wineries produce reds, whites and rosés from native grapes, and some of the wineries produce organic wine.

WINE TOURISM

Visiting the wineries, touring the vineyards and tasting wines is the best way to get to discover Mallorca's deep-rooted winemaking tradition while having a wonderful experience. Another way to get closer to our wine culture is through the fairs that are held throughout the year, including: Festes des Vermar (grape harvest) in Binissalem, Fira del Vi in Pollença or the Wine Days Mallorca event.
